Withhold my telephone number
Want to keep your number private? You can stop it showing when you make a call in a few simple steps.
Hide your number for one call (quickest way)
Just dial:
141 + the phone number
Your number will be hidden for that call only.
Hide your number for all calls
You can turn this on in your account:
- Log in to My Account
- Go to Manage your plan
- Select Call features
- Under Privacy features, toggle on Withhold number - you'll see a 'turning on' message displayed
- Click Review and request
- Submit changes
Turn it back off
Follow the same steps and toggle off “Withhold number”, then click review and request and submit changes.
Can't get through to someone?
Some people block calls from hidden numbers.
If your call isn’t connecting:
- Dial 1470 + the number to show your number for that call
- Or turn off number withholding in your settings
Summary:
- Dial 141 → hide your number for one call
- Turn it on in My Account → hide it for all calls
- Dial 1470 → show your number again if needed
