Creating a Google account
A Google Account helps you get more from your TalkTalk TV Hub. Once you're signed in, you can download apps, get personalised recommendations, and keep your apps up to date automatically.
Why do I need a Google Account?
You don't need a Google Account to watch TV, but some features work best when you're signed in.
With a Google Account, you can:
- Download apps from the Google Play Store
- Get personalised recommendations in the Discover tab
- Keep your apps updated automatically
- Access new features as they become available
How to create a Google Account
- Go to the Google Account sign-up page.
- Select Create account.
- Enter your details and choose a username.
- Create a secure password.
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete your account setup
Sign in on your TV Hub
Once you've created your Google Account:
- Open your TV Hub.
- Follow the on-screen setup instructions.
- Sign in using your Google Account email address and password.
- Complete the sign-in process.
You'll then be ready to download apps and personalise your TV experience.
Good to know
- You'll need to remember your Google Account email address and password.
- If you've already got a Gmail account, you can use that instead of creating a new account.
- Google Accounts are managed by Google, not TalkTalk.
