What is TalkTalk U?
TalkTalk U is a game-changing plan. It’s built to give customers the Wi-Fi coverage and speed that suits their home and usage needs.
Using smart data, TalkTalk U recommends the plan that’s best suited to the customer’s home. They can go with our recommendation or pick one of the other two. Just a heads up that if you don’t plump for our suggested plan, it may affect the Wi-Fi coverage in their household. It’s totally up to the customer, though – no pressure, just choice.
From there, the really intuitive bit kicks in. TalkTalk U uses an algorithm that keeps up with the customer’s speed and usage needs. If things change, it adapts – automatically adjusting their speed to match how they use the internet.

Can I upgrade to TalkTalk U if I'm an existing customer?
At the moment, we’re just rolling out TalkTalk U to new customers. We’re working around the clock to make this available to our existing customers. You can still register your interest on this page, and we’ll reach out to you once we’re ready to bring smarter Wi-Fi into your home.
What speeds will I have in my household?
This is where TalkTalk U really shines. Based on the data we have, plus your usage needs, we may adjust your speeds to one of the following options:
- 65Mbps
- 150Mbps
- 500Mbps
- 900Mbps
TalkTalk U has been designed to give you more than enough speed for your needs - whether that's gaming, dialling into Teams calls, or streaking 4K.
