About the TalkTalk TV Hub

The TalkTalk TV Hub brings everything together in one place - live TV, catch‑up, on‑demand players, apps, and games. You can watch what you want, when you want, without being locked into big TV bundles or long contracts.
It’s entertainment built your way.
If you’re new to TalkTalk TV or thinking about joining, see What is TalkTalk TV ? for a full overview.

Your TV Hub is packed with features to help you get more from your TV:

  • Watch live TV and on‑demand programmes
  • Access 10,000+ apps from Google Play
  • Use your voice to search, control playback and more
  • Cast content from your phone or tablet to your TV
  • Enjoy 4K Ultra HD picture quality and Dolby Atmos sound (where supported)

All powered by Android TV, so it works much like the apps on your phone

Your favourite apps, all in one place.

Find popular catch‑up players like BBC iPlayer, alongside services such as Netflix, Prime Video, NOW and Disney+.

  • No TV bundles forced on you
  • Add or remove subscriptions whenever you like
  • Subscriptions are managed directly with the app provider

You stay in control of what you watch and what you pay for.

TIP

Before turning off your TV Hub or letting it go into standby, always exit apps back to the Home screen. This helps keep things running smoothly next time you switch on.

Your TV Hub gives you access to Google Play, where you can browse and download thousands of apps — from movies and TV, to fitness, music and gaming.
Some apps come pre‑installed. We call these Featured Apps.

Good to know

To get the full experience from some apps and players, you’ll need a TV aerial connected. Some apps will only appear when an aerial is detected.

You can:

  • Download new apps anytime
  • Update apps as soon as updates are available

For help, see Using Google Play  and TV Software updates  (select TalkTalk TV Hub)

You can even:

  • Check the weather

Cast from your phone

With Chromecast built in, you can send videos, apps and games from your phone, tablet or laptop straight to your TV.

  • Access cloud gaming services for big‑screen gaming
  • Connect supported gamepads to level up your experience
  • Enjoy Bluetooth remote control, so the TV Hub doesn’t need to be in sight
External storage

You can plug in a USB stick or Micro SD card to view compatible photos and videos.

External storage can’t be used to install extra apps.
If you run out of space, the TV Hub will guide you through removing apps you no longer use.

Soundbars and audio

You can connect a soundbar in several ways, depending on your setup:

  • Via your TV (HDMI ARC/eARC)
  • Directly through the TV Hub
  • Using SPDIF / TosLink (if supported)

If audio and video are out of sync, try adjusting the sync settings on your soundbar or switching connection methods.

Your TalkTalk TV Hub supports Wi‑Fi 6, helping deliver smoother streaming — especially when paired with Full Fibre.
Always use:

  • The power cable supplied
  • The HDMI cable provided, or a cable that supports UHD 4K standards
