Frequently asked questions
The following FAQs are for customers who have received a communication from TalkTalk, advising them that their account has been transferred to Rise Fibre.
When is my account being transferred to Rise Fibre?
Your broadband contract transferred to Rise Fibre on 1 August 2026.
Over the coming months, TalkTalk and Rise Fibre will work together to complete the account transition. Rise Fibre will keep you informed before any changes are made to how you receive your bills or manage your account.
During this transfer period, you will continue to receive support from TalkTalk and should contact us if you need any help or support.
Why is my account being transferred to Rise Fibre?
TalkTalk and Rise Fibre have begun working together to provide and manage services, sharing the same commitment to looking after customers.
We've chosen to transfer your account to Rise Fibre because we're confident they'll continue to provide the care, support, and service you've come to expect.
Do I need to do anything?
No. There's nothing you need to do, and your broadband service will continue to work as normal.
When there's anything you need to know, the team at Rise Fibre will let you know well in advance.
Will my broadband service be affected?
No. Your broadband service will continue exactly as it does today. You won't experience any interruption to your service because of the transfer.
Will my existing router and equipment still work?
Unless you have been told otherwise, you can continue using your existing router and any equipment supplied for your broadband service. There's no need to replace or reconfigure anything at home.
If you need replacement equipment, you will be contacted to explain how and when this will happen.
Will my broadband package change?
No. Your current broadband service and package will continue as normal following the transfer to Rise Fibre.
If there are any changes in the future, Rise Fibre will contact you beforehand.
Will my monthly price change?
No changes are being made to your monthly broadband charge because of the transfer. Your price and the terms of your contract will remain the same.
Should there be any future changes to your pricing or package, Rise Fibre will communicate these to you in line with the terms of your agreement with them.
Will my contract term change?
No. Your existing contract and any remaining minimum term will continue to apply following the transfer to Rise Fibre.
Will my payment method change?
Your payment arrangements will remain unchanged. If any changes are needed in the future, Rise Fibre will contact you with clear instructions before anything happens.
Can I still access My Account?
Absolutely. You can continue using My Account just as you do today, so there's nothing you need to do right now.
If your online account experience changes in the future, Rise Fibre will make sure you have plenty of notice, along with clear guidance and support every step of the way.
After your move to Rise Fibre is complete and you've been provided with new account details, you'll continue to have access to your existing My Account for 12 months.
Who do I contact if I need help?
Until you're informed otherwise, please continue to contact TalkTalk using the usual support channels.
TalkTalk will continue to support customers on behalf of Rise Fibre during the transition period.

What happens if I have an open complaint?
If you currently have an open complaint with TalkTalk, we'll continue working with you to resolve it.
We'll ensure any ongoing issues are managed appropriately throughout the transition.
Will my landline number change?
No. If you have a landline service, you'll keep your existing phone number.
What happens to my TalkTalk TV service?
If you currently receive a TalkTalk TV service:
- Your TV service should continue to work following the transfer.
- You will no longer be charged for this service.
- Technical support for TV-related faults will no longer be available.
- If you're experiencing issues with your TV service, alternative support options may be available from the relevant content provider.
What happens to my TalkTalk email account?
Nothing is changing. If you have a TalkTalk email account, it will continue to be provided by TalkTalk under your existing terms and conditions.
How will I know when my account has fully transferred?
We'll keep you updated throughout the process. Before any changes are made to your billing, account management or support arrangements, you'll receive clear communications from Rise Fibre explaining what will happen and when.
Can I choose not to move to Rise Fibre?
The transfer of your account is part of an agreed arrangement between TalkTalk and Rise Fibre.

Is my personal information being transferred?
Yes. From 1 August 2026, Rise Fibre became the data controller for your personal information in relation to the services being transferred.
